Education

I have a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a minor in marketing from Saint Leo University. I am now attending Florida State University for my master's program. I am currently pursuing a M.S./ Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, in the College of Education.

Experience

I graduated from college Summa Cum Laude, or highest honors, with a GPA of 3.95. I am competent in tutoring any grade level in math, science, or English. I am also proficient in tutoring SAT prep. I enjoy tutoring because I believe that I have the skills necessary to help adolescents become successful in their school and beyond. I am very personable and enjoy working with people, I am able to impart factual knowledge in such a way that it is meaningful, instead of simply memorized information that will soon be forgotten. As a graduate from a psychology program and a current counseling education student I have the skills needed to work with young adults, through building rapport and setting goals to accomplish learning tasks. My education and training allow me to successfully enable students to reach their full potential.

Hobbies

As an undergraduate I was an active member and held numerous leadership positions in multiple clubs and honors societies. I was vice president of the psychology club and worked with the student government union of my university to fund our annual trip to the South Eastern Association's conference to present research. In addition to attending to the details required to secure funding for these trips, I was responsible for creating travel plans such as hotel stays and airfare. I was also the Vice President of Psi Chi, a national honors society for psychology. I actively engaged in numerous community projects such as establishing a Homelessness Awareness day on campus during which speakers were brought in to educate students on homeless and organizations that they could become a part of to tackle this social problem. Also as the Vice President of Psi Chi, I actively participated in community service work at a local soup kitchen, Love one Another, where homeless individuals are served lunch and dinner in a restaurant style to foster comfort and dignity.
