Education

I have a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University with a 3.785 GPA. Some of my research topics were energy storage systems, electromagnetics, power systems, signal processing, and RF/MW circuits. I have experience in programing languages and packages (like C/C++, MATLAB, SAS, SIMULINK, and COMSOL) that were employed in my research. I have publications in the fields of energy storage, electromagnetics and RF/MW waveguides. I had a diverse coursework throughout my undergraduate and graduate years with high scores in courses like: Power Systems Analysis, Power Electronics, Electrical Circuits, Electrical Machines, Control Systems, Computational concepts in Electrical Engineering, Switchgear, Environmental Science, Modeling and Simulation of Semiconductor Devices, Energy Storage, Advanced Electromagnetics, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Logic Design, C and data structures, C++, RF/MW Circuits, Robotics, Leadership and Communication, Fluid Mechanics, Neural Networks, Database Management Systems, and SAS.

Experience

I currently work, part-time, as a postdoctoral research associate at the FSU Magnet Lab. I have some teaching experience as a lab instructor for 3 years at FSU during my graduate study and have also experience teaching/tutoring Electrical engineering courses/labs, programing courses/labs, and other general/advanced math/science/programing topics. As a lab instructor I educated undergraduate students by reintroducing them to the theory behind electrical engineering concepts and help them apply the theory to understand the experiments performed in the labs. As part of my job, I was also in charge of preparing tests, lab manuals, new curriculum using new devices, grading, and providing general/other course(s) assistance and mentoring. My time as a lab instructor was most memorable, enjoyable, and a valuable learning experience. The students and the departmental supervisors were very satisfied with the progress made in the labs. The students always looked forward to the next lab session as I always made sure that each and every student was able to understand and apply what was learned. I received outstanding positive reviews from both students and supervisors at the end of every lab. I introduced the students to some of the research topics I was working on at the time to further stoke their curiosity and interest. They loved the fact that I always gave them tips and tricks to do things quicker, easier and smarter. There were times when I did not have answers to all the questions posed by students. But, being a quick learner, I was ready with answers to any complex questions within no time. Math is fun and is also the basis for all my research and I use various mathematical concepts in my everyday tasks as a research associate. I need to find simpler ways to solve various mathematical problems to expedite my research which is primarily mathematical modeling of various physical conditions and phenomenon. To keep up with the demands of my research, I have to be good at basic and advanced math to be able to apply any mathematical concepts in my research.
